Sodalite is a sodium chloride bearing aluminium silicate of the feldspathoid family, often confused with lapis lazuli. Sodalite lacks the gold pyrite of lapis and is generally a more uniform royal blue. It was first identified in Greenland and is now mined notably in Brazil and Canada. Metaphysically it is treated as a stone of the rational mind, supporting logic, structure, and grounded honest communication.
