Descendant — Definition

The Descendant marks the cusp of the seventh house and is read as the realm of close partnerships — what the chart-holder seeks in others, and what they tend to project onto others. It is always exactly opposite the Ascendant: a Libra rising has an Aries Descendant, and so on. Read together with the Ascendant, the axis describes the basic relational pattern of the chart: who I show up as, and who I look for to complete the picture.
