Expression Number — Definition

The expression number is calculated by converting each letter of a person's full birth name into a number (typically using the Pythagorean system, A=1 through I=9, repeating), summing them, and reducing to a single digit or master number. It is read as the gifts and tools a person was born with — the way they are meant to express themselves. Where the life path is the road, the expression is the vehicle.

Example

Two siblings can share the same life path but have very different expression numbers because their names differ.
