Full Moon — Definition

The full moon is the peak of the lunar cycle. Astrologically, it is a moment of culmination — whatever was seeded at the previous new moon is now visible, for better or worse. Full moons fall in the sign opposite the current Sun sign, which is why a Leo Sun produces an Aquarius full moon. Many traditions use it as a moment of release: writing down what is being let go, making peace with what has matured. Sleep researchers have found subtle disruptions around the full moon even when participants cannot see the sky.
