Spread — Definition

A spread turns a pile of cards into a structured reading. The simplest is a single-card pull; common forms include the three-card past–present–future, the Celtic Cross, and the relationship cross. Each position frames the cards that fall into it — the same card means something different in "obstacle" than in "outcome." Readers often design custom spreads for specific questions, which keeps the practice precise.
