Trine — Definition

Trines link planets in the same element — fire to fire, earth to earth — and are usually read as easy flow. Where squares grind, trines glide. The risk is that trine energy can be so frictionless it goes unused; a person may not develop the gift the trine offers because nothing is forcing them to. Trines are best treated as resources rather than guarantees.

Example

A natal Mercury trine Jupiter often shows up as a person who learns languages, ideas, or systems more easily than most, but who has to choose to use that ease.
