This Privacy Policy explains how Arcana ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application ("App").
Information We Collect
- Account information: Email address and basic profile details you provide (display name, birth date, zodiac sign).
- App content: Journal entries, tarot readings, quiz results, preferences, and other content you create in the App.
- Purchase and subscription information: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat and the relevant app store may process purchase-related data (subscription status, receipts, transaction identifiers).
- Advertising data: The App displays ads via Google AdMob. Advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID), IP address, approximate location, and ad interaction events to provide and measure ads.
- AI-generated content: When you request a tarot reading interpretation, your card selections and optional question are sent to Google's Gemini AI service to generate the reading. Questions are sanitized before transmission and are not stored by the AI service beyond the request.
- Device and usage information: Basic technical information such as device model, OS version, language, and app events (for performance and troubleshooting).

- Process purchases and manage subscriptions
- Generate AI-powered tarot interpretations
- Show ads and measure ad performance
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and provide support

Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and data storage
- Google AdMob — Advertising display and measurement
- RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management
- Google Gemini AI — AI-powered tarot reading interpretations
- Sentry — Error and crash reporting
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers (ads, subscriptions, AI, hosting) to operate the App
- If required by law, legal process, or to protect rights and safety
- In connection with a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or sale of assets)
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes (such as compliance and dispute resolution). You may request deletion at any time.
Data Security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your Choices and Rights
- Account deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Privacy > Delete Account within the App. This permanently removes all your data from our servers.
- Data export: You can export your data from Settings > Privacy > Export My Data.
- Advertising: You can limit ad tracking from your device settings (availability varies by device and OS).
Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
