The Hermit Spread Tarot Spread
Positions
- 1. What to retreat from — The specific noise — relationships, environments, demands, identities — you are being asked to step away from for a season. Often something you have been performing rather than living.
- 2. What to seek inwardly — The inner question worth taking up the mountain. The thing that cannot be answered while you are still inside the village.
- 3. The lantern — The inner light or practice that guides you in the dark of the retreat. Could be a teaching, a memory, a question, a body practice. What keeps you oriented when the world goes quiet.
- 4. The wisdom found — The genuine insight that arrives once you are alone with yourself. Often quieter and more specific than expected. Often something you already knew but had not heard cleanly.
- 5. What to bring back — The piece of wisdom worth carrying down to the village. Not all of it — only what others can actually use. The Hermit returns selective.
